| Tuition and Financial Aid At Link Community School, we believe that parents and school work together to educate children. This is a partnership. Families are asked to participate in the partnership by supporting the Core Values, helping with homework, ensuring that students complete assignments thoughtfully and fully, communicating with teachers and administration regularly, and paying a tuition. Each child's education costs over $18,000 at Link, but in an effort to make an independent school education available to families in Newark and the surrounding urban communities, Link provides financial aid to all accepted students. Link asks parents/guardians to pay tuition on a sliding-scale based on household income. Tuition for most families falls between $800 and $2,500 per year. Additionally some students may qualify for scholarships or grants. Financial aid to make its tuition affordable to families with limited financial resources is made available thanks to the generosity of its donors -- individuals, foundations, corporations and churches. There is no application fee; however a registration fee of $90 plus the first month's tuition will be due in May (or upon enrollment). Tuition is paid on a monthly basis, or families can choose to pay in a one-time annual payment or split it into two semi-annual payments. Please note that a family's income is not considered when making an application decision. |
