A Taste of Newark

Link Community School will host its 11th annual A Taste of Newark on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. This gala event celebrates Link Community School -- now in its 40th year -- and the renaissance of its home, the City of Newark. Link's friends, alumni, families and staff enjoy a wide variety of food -- from soul food to gourmet cuisine, from appetizers to dessert -- all prepared by the restaurants of the city and surrounding areas. As guests eat, they peruse and bid on a multitude of items in the Silent Auction. Later in the evening, guests enter the theater for a brief program featuring a student performance, an alumni speaker and a Live Auction. Guests leave inspired and excited about Link and the excellent education offered to our students. Proceeds from the event will directly support Link students.
