Greg Silver

Director of Admission and High School Placement, Math Teacher

Greg returned to Link Community School in the fall of 2011 after a four year hiatus, when he employed by charter schools in East Orange and Newark. Greg had served Link between 2002 and 2007 in various capacities, including director of high school placement, director of admissions, social studies teacher, advisor, and outdoor education coordinator. He now rejoins Link as the director of admission and high school placement and 8th grade math teacher.

Greg’s most recent experience was at Pride Academy Charter School in East Orange, a school that he helped establish and where he was the dean of student life and high school placement. Prior to that he worked at Lady Liberty Academy Charter School in Newark as high school placement coordinator and graduation coordinator. Additionally, every summer since 1995, Greg has been the program director and head counselor at Camp Baco in Minerva, NY.

Greg received his B.S. in Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and has participated in the Leadership for Educational Change Masters Program and Principal’s Institute courses at Bank Street College in New York City.
