Hassan Amir Anderson

Music Teacher

Hassan Anderson teaches a 7th and 8th grade music curriculum with a concentration in jazz music history, tonal harmony/theory, functional piano, and show choir. He comes to Link through a partnership with Jazz House Kids, Inc. in Montclair, NJ.

Hassan is a graduate of The Juilliard School of Music in New York City. He recently received his Master of Music degree in Oboe Performance under the tutelage of Nathan Hughes and additional studies with Pedro Diaz, Elaine Douvas and Linda Strommen. A native of Jacksonville, Fl, Hassan received his Bachelor of Music degree from Stetson University, studying with Ann Adams. While teaching at Link, he will also teach at The Little Orchestra Society of New York City, The New York Philharmonic, and Jazz House Kids.

In his free time Mr. Anderson enjoys reading, reed making, running and enjoying the company of his wonderful friends and family.
