Lisette Santiago

Music Teacher

Lisette Santiago is a musician and music educator from Brooklyn, N.Y.  A graduate of LaGuardia High School of Music and the Performing Arts and Columbia University, Lisette began singing at an early age and was accepted into the Children’s Metropolitan Opera Company at the age of nine. She later went on to study drum set and percussion. Lisette specializes in Latin percussion and is a Latin Percussion endorsee. In addition to performing, Lisette has been an active music educator for over 13 years. She has taught, given workshops and facilitated arts education, professional development sessions throughout the US, as well as, in Latin America. Lisette has been teaching general music and choir at Link Community Charter School since 2015, and is currently the percussion director at NJPAC’s M.A.N.Y band program.
