Monique worked in the public and private sectors for 15 years.  From 1999-2004, she worked for the City of Newark, Health Department as the Local Information and Network  Communications Officer with Homeland Security and the Data Processing Coordinator.  She completed various computer training and project management schools, but always held a teaching position for relaxation.

In 2004, she finally decided to accept a position as an Abbott Preschool Teacher and Even Start Family Literacy Program Director.  She then completed the accelerated Preschool to Third Grade program at Bloomfield College.  Unfortunately, the agency shut down in 2013 and Monique decided to continue to build her consulting company.

In 2016, she came to Link as long-term Substitute ELA Teacher and the rest is history
