Prior to coming to Link, Rosana taught science at a number of schools including St. Hedwig School in Elizabeth, St. Patrick School in Staten Island, and Concordia College and Our Lady of the Angels Academy in the Philippines. She taught Smart Summer Program (2001-04) at UMDNJ Newark. Rosana received her Bachelor of Science in Education in General Science from Sacred Heart College in the Philippines where she graduated Cum Laude. She earned her certificate of eligibility with advanced standing to serve as a professional educator in the New Jersey schools in December 2004. Recently, Mrs. Chanco received recognition from Novartis Pharaceuticals Corporation for her outstanding service and leadership to the Sally Ride Science Club and from Link School for her contribution to the school’s science program. This is a reflection of Mrs.Chanco’s professional goal which is to prepare her students for high school level science by providing hands-on based classes that will develop their science skills so they are confident and successful in high school courses. |
