| How to Make a Gift to Link Link appreciates the support of all donors at all levels of giving. Link offers a variety of individually tailored gift options that provide donors with maximum convenience and flexibility. Donors may find that the resulting tax advantages enable them to make a significantly larger gift to Link than they otherwise thought. Cash Writing a check to Link is a simple and direct way to contribute. Cash contributions are tax deductible to the extent that the law permits. To support Link with a gift of cash, please make checks payable to Link Community School and mail to 120 Livingston St., Newark, NJ, 07103. Credit Card Gifts by credit card may be made to Link by calling our office at 973.642.5343. Securities A gift of appreciated securities may provide tax benefits, including an income tax deduction and a reduction in capital gains tax liability. We are happy to provide you with the instructions on how to make a gift of this type. Corporate Matching Gifts A Company or Foundation that matches gifts to non-profit organizations can often double or triple your contribution. Contact your personnel office for details and forward the appropriate forms to Link Community School. In-Kind Gifts If you have an item that you think Link could benefit from, please call our office at 973.642.5343. Also Link has a "Wish List" of items that staff has identified as needing, but which are not supported by the school's operating budget. Click here to see the "Wish List." Bequests A bequest is a gift you make by naming Link Community School in your will and can be made when drawing up your will or by adding a codicil later. Such a gift can be made for a specific amount, a portion of the estate, or a remainder share. Bequests may provide tax benefits to the estate. All gifts to Link Community School qualify as a charitable deduction as outlined in the United States Internal Revenue Code. A copy of Link's letter of determination of paragraph 501(c)(3) status and annual audited financial statement is available upon request.
