| Parents and Guardians Link Community School is committed to working with parents and guardians in their quest to best support the academic growth and personal development of their children -- our students. Link therefore asks parents and guardians to be involved in their children's education by, among other things, communicating with advisors and teachers, regularly assisting students with homework and checking that assignments are completed, participating in special school-wide programs and events, and volunteering for Link Parent Association (LPA) positions and committees. The LPA supports Link's efforts to develop student's skills and abilities and nurture their personal growth. The LPA holds evening workshops for families, a quarterly breakfast with the Principal, and regular meetings. An important part of the LPA's work is the planning of family and student activities through three committees (Kwanzaa Celebration, Grandparents' Day/Black History Celebration, and Graduation Festivities) and serving as a communication vehicle for parents and the administration/faculty through community representatives.
