Kathleen Hester, M.S., Ed.S.


Kathleen Hester comes to Link with 22 years of classroom experience. She has an M.A. in Secondary Education and an Ed.S. in Education Management, Leadership and Policy from Seton Hall University. Kathleen received her B.A. from Mary Washington College. She began her career at St. Mary’s of the Assumption High School in Elizabeth, NJ, as a teacher of American History and Geography, moving on to the South Orange Maplewood School District after five years. During her 17 years in the district, Kathleen’s primary responsibility was teaching 7th grade World Studies at South Orange Middle School. She also designed and wrote curriculum, including the district’s middle school social studies curriculum. In addition, Kathleen has served as team leader, testing coach, test coordinator, and instructional coach, and she has launched and coordinated an after school enrichment program that serves more than 300 students. She eagerly brings her expertise and passion for education to Link..
